Massachusetts Goddamn!

Last weekend I spent a dreamy couple of days in the storybook town of Newburyport, Massachusetts with my bro and his family................



Minute one into the journey, we got a $60 parking ticket while waiting for BLTs on Dundas Street.
Doh! In Newburyport, you can park ANYWHERE you damn well please.

Anyhoo, we did tons of wholesome New England-y stuff like eating seafood chowder, going for graveyard walks and hanging out at the harbor watching rich people hose down their yachts.....






Did you know that folks in small towns actually converse on a regular basis with their neighbors?
On day two, we had a little street party........
There was dodge ball, champagne, hot dogs and princess costumes.........

On the way home I got pulled over for my first speeding ticket.......
we got off easy because our rental car wasn't equipped with a speedometer that measured miles...technicality!





Ah America.......you merely cross the border and a medium order of French fries becomes a trough of wedge potatoes. I ate my weight in donuts and red meat........
